This Privacy Policy explains how TOMOSHIBI LLC ("we," "our," or "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the LOOPT app (the "App").

Scope for iPhone and Apple Watch

The descriptions below concerning ads, the Remove Ads purchase, analytics, diagnostics and rankings apply to the iPhone app that provides those features. The Watch app is free and provides no ads, in-app purchases, scores, rankings or result sharing. It does not include advertising, analytics or diagnostics SDKs or communicate with the ranking service.

The Watch stores in-progress input, results and consumed notification IDs locally on the Watch. It uses OS forwarding of local game-number notifications scheduled on iPhone, with no additional Watch notification scheduling or dedicated sync server. Answer state and scores do not sync between Watch and iPhone.

Information We Collect

Automatically Collected Information

The App may collect certain information automatically through third-party services used for advertising, analytics, and diagnostics:

  • Device identifiers (e.g., device or advertising identifiers) for ad delivery and measurement.
  • Basic device information (such as device model, OS version, and language).
  • Approximate location inferred from IP address (if provided by the advertising service).
  • If Firebase Analytics is enabled: screen views, interaction events, general usage data, app version, device information, OS, language or region, and Firebase-assigned identifiers.
  • If Sentry diagnostics is enabled: crash logs, error logs, stack traces, app version, device information, OS, and other technical diagnostic data.

Information You Provide

  • Payment information is handled by Apple. We do not receive your full payment details.
  • If you contact us, we may receive your name, email address, and message.

Ranking information

Ranking features send an app-created installation identifier, play identifier, mode, correct-answer count, a name if you choose to register one, and play verification information to the ranking service. Starting a play and checking eligibility can involve communications even without name registration. You do not need to use your real name.

Public rankings show rank, name, correct-answer count and record timestamp. Installation and play identifiers and verification information are not shown in the public list. To prevent abuse and limit request frequency, the service processes hashed information derived from the installation identifier and source IP address. Hashing does not guarantee anonymity.

Ranking storage and processing use Cloudflare services. Contact us with questions about registered data or deletion. The app does not include a leaderboard deletion control.

Local records and notifications

Personal bests, settings and information needed to retry ranking submissions are stored on your device. Notifications containing game numbers are scheduled locally. If notifications are allowed, numbers may appear on the lock screen or elsewhere depending on your settings. Real authentication codes and OTP secrets are not handled.

How We Use Information

We use the information to:

  • Deliver and measure ads.
  • Provide and restore the "Remove Ads" purchase.
  • Understand usage trends and improve app features.
  • Investigate crashes, errors, and technical issues.
  • Improve app stability and performance.
  • Record and display rankings, validate submissions and prevent abuse.
  • Provide optional local notification challenges.
  • Respond to support requests.

How We Share Information

We share information with:

  • Google AdMob for ad delivery, measurement, and reporting.
  • Cloudflare for ranking storage, processing and abuse prevention.
  • Apple for in-app purchase processing.
  • Firebase Analytics (Google LLC) for usage analytics.
  • Sentry (Functional Software, Inc.) for crash and error diagnostics.

We do not sell your personal information.

The handling of data by these services is governed by the privacy policies and terms of the respective providers.

Your Choices

  • You can remove ads via the one-time purchase.
  • You can manage personalized ad settings on your device if available.
  • Change analytics and diagnostics independently in app settings. Disabling them does not disable separate advertising or ranking communications.
  • Notifications are optional and can be changed in app and iOS settings.

Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Retention

We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described above and as required by law.

International Users

Your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
