Support

Countain helps you record everyday counts and amounts and look back at what adds up.

Your first record

Try a sample or create a counter. Choose a name, unit, and default amount, then add that amount with the add action. You can enter other amounts manually and review the calendar and history. The balls are playful input feedback and cycle after 30 balls. Check numbers and history for exact amounts.

You can delete incorrect entries from history. A grouped history row may contain several additions, so check the amount before deleting the whole row.

Free and Countain Pro

Free use includes up to 3 regular counters, including samples. Pro supports up to 50 in total, including private counters. Basic tap recording, reflection, Watch tap recording and sync, backup, and restore are available within the free limits. Shake counting is a Pro feature on both iPhone and Apple Watch.

If Pro is not recognized, check the Apple Account used for the purchase and the subscription period, then try restoring purchases in the app. You can also check Apple's purchase history and subscription settings. After Pro expires, choose 3 regular counters to keep recording. Other records remain available to view, delete, and back up. Private counters still require authentication.

Cancel through Apple's subscription settings. Removing the app does not cancel a subscription. See Apple's cancellation instructions .

When Apple Watch totals differ

Open Countain on your paired iPhone and Watch and check the connection. Pending Watch records await delivery, so totals may not match immediately. Entering the same records manually on iPhone while waiting can create duplicates.

Shake counting works after you start a measurement session. It is not continuous automatic tracking. Use each device's sensitivity test if detection does not suit your movements. If you change time zones while offline, recalculating the synced daily amount requires a new sync from iPhone.

Backup and restore

Password-encrypted backups are available for free. Keep the file and password safe. If you lose the password, you cannot restore that file.

Restoring replaces the current set of records. Review the contents and save the encrypted recovery copy of your current data before continuing. Purchases, diagnostic consent, and unlocked authentication state are not transferred by backup. This is not iCloud sync or a guarantee of automatic backup; export the records you need to keep.

Private counters, notifications, and sharing

Private counters appear after authentication and are excluded from regular lists, notifications, and sharing. If you forget the app's four-digit code, use the reset flow and authenticate as the device owner.

Notifications require OS permission. Check both the counter's reminder settings and iPhone notification permission. Sharing supports regular counters as text, not image saving or image sharing.
